Overview
Greetings, and welcome to my home page.
My name is Paul Oliphant, and I am a speech-language therapist here at Glankler Early Learning Center. I grew up on the redwood coasts of Humboldt and Mendocino counties, where I learned to love nature, people, and communication between folks of all ages, races, creeds, etc. I am an alumnus of College of the Redwoods (A.A. in Humanities), Southern Oregon University (B.A. in English and Writing, Literature), and CSU East Bay (M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology). It is a pleasure and an honor to work at Glankler.
I strongly believe in collaboration with educators of all kinds and with parents, the most important teachers of all! If you are a parent of a preschooler with speech-language therapy, feel free to contact me for resources, encouragement, and anything else you may need to help your child succeed.
I want to make my students' educational environments as buoyant and conducive to learning as possible. I do this with toys, books, prearranged scenarios, and other educational supports, but my favorite therapy tool is MUSIC! It has the power to cheer up, motivate, and boost a child's learning like nothing else.
