FUSD’s Dee Macedo Among County Classified Employees of the Year
Posted 4/30/19

FUSD was proud to learn one of its own was among the Alameda County Office of Education’s (ACOE) Classified Employees of the Year.

The ACOE announced on April 23rd that Glankler Early Learning Center Para-Educator, Dee Macedo, was one of six award-winners representing school districts from throughout Alameda County.

“Whether it be coaxing a reluctant little one into the classroom, leading classroom activities, or creative problem-solving, Ms. Macedo works to ensure students with autism (and their families) feel welcomed and supported,” the ACOE described Macedo in a press release.

Districts annually nominate exemplary employees in a variety of categories. A panel of judges from the ACOE then determines which employees move forward to be considered by the State Department of Education as State Classified Employees of the Year. Learn more about the other honorees here.
